Faribault Heritage Days is one of the highlights of summer, and the annual local festival ran June 15-19 with a plethora of offerings to keep the whole family entertained. You can compare and contrast this year's festival to the 1984 celebration!

The event boasts a craft and vendor show, soap box car races, a carnival, Heritage Hustle 5K, historic tours, family fun, the grand parade and more. We’ll be telling you all about the events as we get closer to celebration, but right now, let’s go back in time and see what part of the festivities looked like back in 1984. Previously, I shared Part One and Part Two, Part Three and Part Four of the home video footage found on YouTube of the 1984 parade.

In the clips below we see classic vehicles, tractors, a band, a chicken, the Sheriff's Department, and horse drawn wagon. The next clip shows the event's firework show and the following clip is a short drive in Faribault.

Hope you have a great time comparing Heritage Days of years past to today!
