Last Friday, April 17, members of the KDHL and Power 96 crew were able to take part in a really fun event that also benefits a good organization, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Minnesota. The goal was to raise money and awareness for Big Brothers Big Sisters.

According to www.bbbsofsouthernmn.org, "Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers ('Bigs') and children ('Littles'), ages 4 through 14, in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people. "

The event was well attended with various companies organizing teams, and families and friends getting together to bowl a few games and help raise money. It was held in Faribault at J &J Bowling Center, and the following day, there was another event held at Spare Time Entertainment in Owatonna. To add to the excitement of the event, two members of the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders showed up!

We were there broadcasting live, but we also made some time to bowl a game. There was a little bit of good-natured smack talking, but there were high fives all around when anyone got a strike. The Power 96 and KDHL team had a lot of fun at the 2015 Bowl for Kids Sake, and we'll be back next year!

I tried to convince the others that low score wins, but they were not having any of it. John Anderson was the victor this year, but next year we'll all be practiced and ready to really compete!
