Last week, August 18-23, was Minnesota’s largest county fair, the Steele County Free Fair in Owatonna. There were plenty of fun things to do, both free and paid, and there is always something for everyone in the family.

The weather was a bit unpredictable and there were a few rain showers, which unfortunately resulted in a couple of cancellations and a few changes, but that didn't keep people away, or stop them from having fun in Owatonna during the Steele County Free Fair.

There was great entertainment on the free stages, the beer gardens and the grandstands. Plus there were plenty of other things to check out at the Steele County Free Fair, including the Auto Museum, pig races, American Lumberjack show, petting zoo and Human Cannonball. It seemed like people were having a great time taking in the sights and sounds of the fair, with many choosing to enjoy the rides and delicious fair food as well.
