Sue Garwood, director of the Rice County Historical Society, shares some of the museum's information about area fires and firefighting equipment. The museum has fire logs, with entries on each fire stretching back to the earliest days of the Faribault Fire Department. We learn about the 1878 fire that destroyed the Faribault Masonic Lodge and the 1975 King Mill Dam fire. Garwood also shares some images detailing the evolution of firefighting equipment beginning with horse-drawn wagons through more modern firetrucks from the 1960s.
