The Faribault Falcon boys placed third in the Class A State Swimming and Diving Meet at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center on Saturday. Faribault amassed 158 points. St. Thomas Academy captured their 14th state title while rolling up 415.5 points. Breck Blake was second with 287.

All of Faribault's points came from six guys. Senior Austin Ferris placed second in diving with a score of 488.95. The winner had 493.55. Sophomore Sam Steinberg was fifth in diving.

Sophomore Paul Sadergaski was second in the 200 IM and fifth in the 100 butterfly. Senior David Sadergaski placed seventh in the 100-yard butterfly and senior Brady Bresnahan was fifth in the 100 free and seventh in the 50 free.

The Sadergaskis and Bresnahan were joined by freshman Austin Rechtzigel and placed fourth in the 400 free relay and fifth in the 200 free relay.

The top eight earn All-State honors, meaning every Falcon traveling to Minneapolis came home with hardware. An incredible accomplishment for a handful of guys. Way to go Falcons.
