March is Red Cross Month. April is Volunteer Month. The American Red Cross salutes their many volunteer blood donors who help hospital patients in need because of an accident or surgery. The Red Cross has a goal to collect 14,000 blood and platelet donations every day.

All blood types are needed. Call (800) 733-2767 (800-RED CROSS) to make an appointment or register online. Walk-ins are also welcome. A driver's license or two forms of ID are required. A donor must be in good health and weigh at least 110 pounds.

In Faribault, blood donation opportunities will be at the Eagles Club, 2027 W. Grant St, on Wednesday, March 30, from 12:30-6:30PM and on Thursday, March 31, from 8:30AM to 7:30PM.

Friday, April 1: In Owatonna at Lowe's, 1280 21st Ave. N., from 11AM to 5PM.

Saturday, April 2: In Waseca at Family Video, 1101 Second St. N.E., from 11AM to 4PM.

Monday, April 4: In Owatonna at the hospital, 2250 26th St. N.W., from 9AM to 3PM.

Tuesday, April 5: In Waseca at Christian Assembly Church, 900 14th Ave. S.E., from 8AM to noon.

Friday, April 8: In Owatonna at Hyvee, 1620 S. Cedar, from 11AM to 5PM.

Saturday, April 9: In Claremont at St. John's Lutheran Church, 4532 S.E. 84th Ave., from 9AM to 3PM.

Wednesday, April 13: In New Richland in the City Hall, 203 Broadway Ave. N., from 1-6PM.
