Annual Poppy Sale

My Aunt Irene Eiler stopped into the station today to remind me that the Annual Poppy Sale hosted by the American Legion Unit 43 Auxilary gets underway tomorrow & Friday in Faribault. The sale is a benefit for military veterans, those currently serving & their families.The money raised will be going to the Fisher House at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center, a Nursing Scholarship Fund and other programs that aid those who've served in the military. I picked up a few poppies from my Aunt & I hope you do so as well and please give generously. Watch for the ladies with the baskets of poppies at Hy-Vee, Fareway, WalMart, Donahues & other locations.
