Representatives of the Paradise Center for the Arts are scheduled to join us on AM Minnesota at 9:30 this morning.

The 2017 Gallery Season is sponsored by KDHL/POWER 96 Radio and some of the galleries did change last Friday.

  • The Carlander Family gallery features works from David Allen.
  • Lois Vranesh Boardroom Gallery features Heather Haefner.
  • Corey Lyn Creger Memorial Gallery has art from the Minnesota State Academy for the Blind.

This Friday is The Banjo Hour with Captain Gravitone and the String Theory Orchestra. Doors open at 7:30PM. Bluegrass legend Dick Kimmel will be there and so will comedian Michael Callahan to provide lots of entertainment.

The Merlin Players have auditions for Cabaret this Saturday at the Paradise beginning at 10AM.

Big, Bang, Boom Saturday is April 22, with doors opening at 4PM. The pop/rock music trio plays parent-friendly children's music, according to the Paradise Center for the Arts website.

Their description of the event is below:

"After twenty years touring clubs and playing parties, Chuck Folds (younger brother of Ben Folds). Steve Willard and Eddie Walker decided to expand their horizons and play music for kids with a pop sensibility, aimed at being something parents can enjoy and feel good about letting their kids listen to and see live."

If you can't listen at 9:30AM, watch the program on the KDHL YouTube channel.
