My in-studio guest this morning was mixed-media artist C. Anthony Huber, he'll be at the Paradise Center for the Arts as they host an opening reception featuring some of his latest creations this evening from 5-7PM in the Carlander Family Gallery.

Huber's medium is abstract and he enjoys working with industrial types of materials, whether it's pieces of a demolished building or creating works of art using concrete, asphalt and other materials and accenting some of the pieces with flames or soot or as he referred to it as fumage. These unconventional styles that Huber works with create an intense but primal work of art that grab your attention and demand a second look.

You can visit with this artist about his artwork at this evening's event along with openings in the Lois Vranesh Boardroom Gallery featuring David Roers and in the Cory Lyn Creger Gallery it's the Bethlehem Academy Students Exhibit. Find out more about these exhibits and other programs and classes available at the Paradise Center for the Arts on their website, ParadiseCenterForTheArts.com.
