Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Conservation Officer Luke Belgard will take our questions today on AM Minnesota.

I would love the show to be filled with your questions.

Just text them to (507) 838-5233 and we will ask the conservation officer. It's that simple.

I'm sure we will discuss invasive species -- species that are not native to Minnesota and cause economic or environmental harm to harm to human health, according to the DNR.

The Minnesota DNR says our natural resources are threatened by a number of these invasive species such as zebra mussels, Eurasian watermilfoil, common buckthorn and emerald ash borer.

Invasive species can occur on land or in the water.

Other topics I would like to discuss with Belgard include the Turn in Poachers hotline and boat and water safety.

Tragically we've had a number of young people recently killed in ATV accidents, and some of these youth were very young. I know Belgard would like to discuss ATV safety on the show, and that's what prompted the program.

If you can't listen at 9:30AM, you can still text your question to (507) 838-5233 and I will ask the officer and you can see his answer by going to our YouTube channel.
