Mark Hamill Really Hates One ‘Star Wars’ Toy in Particular
When you’re part of a giant franchise, there are going to be toys of you. That’s just how these things tend to work. Star Wars is in a realm all of its own, with toys ranging from giant Star Destroyer LEGO sets to Elan Sleazebaggano action figures, and, naturally, the stars of the franchise have their favorites and least-favorites. Mark Hamill recently shared his opinion on what he thinks is the worst Luke Skywalker toy, and it’s quite a doozy.
Woody Harrelson Wants to Clarify What Kind of ‘Mentor’ His Han Solo Movie Character Is
We don’t know a whole lot about the Han Solo movie aside from the fact that it’s about Han Solo and he’s a young lad in it, but we have had some descriptions of the other characters to fuel our speculation engines. Woody Harrelson, for example, is said to be playing a kind of “mentor” to young Solo, which those of us who’ve stayed up to date on the Expanded Universe through the years know to be Alezsandr Badure, Han Solo’s teacher at the Imperial Academy who taught him all his flying skills. But now Woody Harrelson is saying that his character, whose name is “Beckett,” isn’t exactly the Imperial officer type.
‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ IMAX 3-D Featurette: Okay, Michael, We Get It, This Movie Is BIG
When Michael Bay makes a movie, he likes to make a BIG movie. No measly 35-millimeter film stock for him. Bay, like James Cameron and others of their ilk, enjoy being on the cutting-edge of filmmaking technology, utilizing the newest, boldest thing to make their movies pop off the screen. And regardless of your thoughts on the Transformers franchise, there’s nothing quite like seeing them in an IMAX movie theater.
Compare John Williams’ Original Score for One Key ‘Force Awakens’ Moment to the Movie Version
The best part of The Force Awakens, if I had to pick just one, is probably the fakeout when Kylo Ren is chasing Rey and Finn through the snowy forest, and the lightsaber he reaches for zooms past his face and into Rey’s outstretched hand. I went to see that movie three times in theaters, and every time that moment happened, people cheered. It’s made even cooler by the addition of John Williams’ “Force Theme,” also known as “Binary Sunset” from the original Star Wars. It was adopted somewhat as Luke’s personal theme, but generally signals the Light Side of the Force.
Chris Hemsworth Tells Us How He Really Feels About the Avengers in an ‘Infinity War’ Set Video
Chris Hemsworth seems to still have a bit of a chip on his shoulder from being mostly excluded from Captain America: Civil War. Sure, he gets to be back with his buddies for Avengers: Infinity War, but he managed to take a little time during a break on set to work some of his frustrations out.
‘The Mummy’ Has a Fate Worse Than Death Planned for Tom Cruise
Universal’s Dark Universe is kicking off with Tom Cruise’s The Mummy, which is only a week away(!!!). While we know that this movie will, indeed, feature a mummy who is hunting down Tom Cruise for some reason (I mean, weren’t we all, at some point in our lives?) a few things still remain a mystery. What is Russell Crowe’s Dr. Jekyll’s role in all this? How did Cruise and his team of archaeologists stumble upon the mummy’s tomb anyway? And why does she want Tom Cruise so badly?
‘Wonder Woman,’ Unlike ‘Suicide Squad,’ Won’t Have a Post-Credits Scene
Nowadays, watching a superhero movie without a post-credits scene or two feels almost incomplete. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 gave us an unprecedented four mid-credits scenes, and a few MCU movies before that had had at least two. But the DCEU is different, with both Man of Steel and Batman v. Superman eschewing the post-credits scene rule in favor of letting the movie end at the credits and allowing audience members to go the heck home. However, Suicide Squad did have one — which featured Amanda Waller handing over her files to Bruce Wayne. No doubt that was meant to connect Suicide Squad to the Justice League, but does that mean the upcoming Wonder Woman will also have a scene after the credits have rolled?
Diane Lane Doesn’t Think ‘Justice League’ Will Be Better Than ‘The Avengers’ Either
Diane Lane was barely in Batman v. Superman, but nonetheless provided some much needed resolution to the heroes’ initial smackdown. The fight ends as soon as Bats and Supes both learn that their mothers had the same name: Martha. It’s probably more meaningful than that, as they realize that they are both men who had mothers and look into each other’s eyes and see their own humanity (metaphorical, in one case) staring back at them, etc., etc., but it’s still a very silly moment. Diane Lane herself seems to understand the silliness behind the franchise.
Michael Fassbender, Seth Rogen Fan, Would Love to Do Some Comedy Sometime
Michael Fassbender is about to grace our silver screens once again in Alien: Covenant, playing an android named Walter, a synthetic engineered to assist spacefaring humans on their long journeys to distant planets. He’s established himself as a great dramatic/genre actor, even becoming a cornerstone of the X-Men franchise. But there’s one kind of movie he has yet to dip a toe into, though he}d very much like to. Yes, folks, Michael Fassbender wants to get into comedy.
Luke Skywalker’s Rumored Bling in ‘The Last Jedi’ Could Be Very Important
When we last saw Luke Skywalker, he had just flipped the gray hood of his grayer robes off of his head with a flourish to reveal his extremely gray wise man beard and to fix Rey with his piercing gray eyes. Word on the street is he’ll definitely have more lines in The Last Jedi, and probably at least one more outfit. A new rumor also suggests he has some new jewelry that might have something to do with his past and Darth Vader. [Be advised: this gets into some kindaaa spoilery territory, so if you want to go into The Last Jedi blind, run away!]
