Hi! I’m Kelly! I have been part of the team since 2008 and have had a lot of fun in that time. Prior to that, I worked for a small town radio station and had a just for fun college radio show with friends. I’m a Faribault High School grad and hold a bachelors degree from the University of Minnesota Morris. When I’m not working, I love spending time with family and friends, walking my dog, checking out great local events, spending time outdoors, cheering for the Twins, and taking in as much live music as I can. Thanks for listening!

Where Does Minnesota Rank Among the States?
Minnesotans have always known that we are fortunate to live in a fantastic state, although we're not likely to brag about it. Now, there is more evidence to support that theory. In a recently released Best States report from U.S. News, the Land of 10,000 Lakes claimed No. 3 in a ranking of states.

Take a Snowshoeing Adventure Through Faribault
With a busy day to day schedule, I don't get out to the River Bend Nature Center in Faribault as often as I would like, but every time I go there, I am always happy I took the time to visit this gem. Faribault, and the surrounding area is so lucky to have such a wonderful space so close. This weekend, I had the opportunity to spend some time viewing the nature center after a fresh snowfall and I a
Re-purposed Building Makes Beautiful Home
In a world where cookie-cutter homes are everywhere, I love unique homes. As opposed to homes with matching siding, identical floor plans and massive garages as the focal point, I love streets where every house is a little different, and homes have some character.
Snowy Scenes from Faribault on Friday
After temperatures that were in the 60s at the start of the week, I was feeling spring was just around the corner and was ready to pack away the winter gear and pull out the flip flops. But the old saying, "if you don't like the weather in Minnesota, wait five minutes and it will change" once again proved itself to be true, and we received a large amount of snow.

MnDOT Advises No Travel Due to Storm
Despite the high temperatures and sunshine we enjoyed earlier in the week, winter in Minnesota is not over just yet. For your safety, the Minnesota Department of Transportation has sent out a news release advising avoiding unnecessary travel.
