I’ve lived in Faribault my entire life but my wife and I enjoy traveling all around Minnesota as well as the surrounding states. When I’m not at work I’m usually spending time with my grandchildren and my grown children. I enjoy going to watch the Vikings, especially at US Bank Stadium, concerts, taking my wife to various musicals and going out to eat… I really enjoy that, as my bathroom scale can attest. I love music and spend a lot of time on the weekends looking for CDs of big hair bands that I don’t currently have in my collection.

Mike Review’s War for the Planet of the Apes
Last night my wife and I attended the 7:10PM screening of War for the Planet of the Apes. This is the third installment of the rebooted Planet of the Apes franchise that started with Rise of the Planet of the Apes and its sequel, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes...
Give Blood, Get a Target eGiftCard
Although there has been a great response to the American Red Cross's emergency call for blood and platelet donors, there's still a critical summer blood shortage. The supply of needed blood is constantly in need of replenishing and, with your help, they can do it...
Raise a Toast to Wine and Cheese Day
Wine and cheese lovers rejoice, today is your day! According to DaysOfTheYear.com, this is the day set aside each year to celebrate those two things that go together so well, your favorite wine and cheeses. I'm not much of a wine drinker, but even this pairing is undeniably delicious...
Are You Suffering from Rice County Fair Withdrawal?
Do you suffer from Rice County Fair withdrawal? I think I do. The Power 96/KDHL crew went out to tear down our booth at the fairgrounds and I already miss the crowds, the sounds, the music and the food. Don't get me wrong, it's a hectic schedule trying to juggle my duties at the radio station and then run around the fair getting interviews and finally broadcasting live from our Power patio, but I
Win Prizes and Trophies at the Rice County Free Fair
One of the things I really enjoy about the Rice County Free Fair are all the free shows that they offer throughout the day for the whole run of this midsummer festival. Several of those free shows take place, near the kids rides area of the fair, on the Cannon Stage...
Plenty of Horse Power at Faribault Main Street Car Cruise Night
Friday night's Faribault Main Street Car Cruise Night was themed as Horses and Horse Power to coincide with that night's Rice County Free Fair grandstand event, the Barnes PRCA Rodeo. I didn't see any horses, but there was plenty of horsepower...
The Whitesidewalls Rocked the Rice County Fair
Wow, what another fantastic night out at the Rice County Fair in Faribault. Our booth is in the perfect spot to catch all the big free shows on the Midway Stage. Last night's show will be hard to top with a get up and dance performance of oldies rockers The Whitesidewalls...

Morning at the Rice County Fair
I spend a lot of time at the Rice County Fair in Faribault, but most of that time is spent there in the afternoon and evening. I thought I'd drop by and wander the grounds in the morning and take some pictures of the fair before all the people arrived...
Mega Action at the Rice County Fair
I wanted to see the Mega Jump Pro Dirt Jam in the Rice County Free Fair Grandstand tonight but I knew I was going to busy at the Power 96 booth so it probably wasn't going to happen. Then the torrential rain came through and messed up the track and they ended up moving the show to the empty parking lot just a few yards from our booth...
