As the Sports Director for KRFO, I enjoy the chance to cover sports throughout the year for Owatonna, Blooming Prairie, Medford, NRHEG and Triton. I feature coaches from each school on the Saturday coaches show at 9AM during the school year. During the summer I look forward to the Steele County Fair for the great food and music. I'm on air each afternoon on AM 1390 with a mix of music, news and local information. Come back to the website often for local, regional and national stories of interest. In my spare time I go to high school sporting events, go for a run or watch a movie. My wife Chris and I have two grown children. Baseball Teams Hold Bowling Tournament
Outfielders, infielders and pitchers were all trying to throw strikes Thursday as Gopher Conference baseball teams gathered in Waterville for a bowling tournament. Host school Waterville-Elysian-Morristown won the event, edging Blooming Prairie. Medford, Maple River and NRHEG tied for third.

Big crowds attended fundraising events in Owatonna despite the inclement weather, or possibly because of it. The Owatonna High School gym was packed for the 40th annual Young Life cake auction. Later in the day big turnout was seen at St. Mary's School for its annual Night of Knights auction.

Owatonna Woman Battles Rare Disease; Reggie’s to Host Benefit Saturday
Ana Tonche of Owatonna was diagnosed in November with Shingles, a painful ailment. It turns out her condition is much worse. When medication wasn't working, further tests were administered and it was determined that Tonche is suffering from a very rare muscle and skin inflammatory disease
