The Faribault Bethlehem Academy Cardinals host Glenville-Emmons on Monday evening when the second season begins for high school softball. The Gopher Conference champions received the No. 2 seed in the West Subsection of Section 1 Class 1A.

The game will be on KDHL Radio 920AM, www.kdhlradio.com, available on the RadioPup app, with coverage beginning at 4:45PM from diamond No. 3 at Alexander Park in Faribault. The Cardinals enter the game with a 14-4 record and Glenville-Emmons is 2-12.

Hayfield is the No. 1 seed with a 13-6 record and sees Alden-Conger (1-14) in their first contest. Blooming Prairie (13-7) is the No. 3 seed and entertains Lyle/Pacelli (4-11). Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton (6-12) received the No. 4 seed and they will host No. 5 seed United South Central (3-15).

If the Cardinals win their first game, they would play Wednesday at home against the winner of the Blooming Prairie game.

In the East Subsection of Section 1 Class 1A, Randolph (16-2) is the top seed and sees Rushford-Peterson (1-17) travel to the Rocket field. Wabasha-Kellogg (10-9) got the No. 2 seed and will play No. 7 seed Houston (6-9). No. 3 seed Goodhue (7-10) hosts No. 6 Southland (3-15) and No. 4 seed Mabel-Canton (11-5) entertains No. 5 Lewiston-Altura (7-13).
