The Northfield Raider boys golf team is in eighth place at this year's Class 3A Minnesota Boys Golf Tournament but the field is very close.  Just 21 shots separate the  Alexandria Area Cardinals in first place (294) and Raiders (315).  The Cardinals are three strokes ahead of Maple Grove and seven strokes in front of St. Thomas Academy.  The final round will be played tomorrow.

Mankato East junior Walker Reyes is tied for second in the individual competition at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids after shooting an opening round 70 (33-37).  Wayzata senior Tristan Neiko leads the field of 88 golfers with a 68 (31-37).  Eastview junior William Frazier is tied with Reyes in second place after shooting (33-37).

Low scores for Northfield were turned in by ninth grader Haakon Rustad with a 76 (39-37) and eighth grader Nathan Stevens also had a 76 (40-36).  Senior Casey Parker carded a 77 (39-38).

Other area golfers results include Rosemount senior Wyatt Ebner with a 77 (39-38).  Mankato East junior Carson Haley 77 (38-39).  Lakeville South freshman John Langlois shot a 77 (38-39).  Lakeville South sophomore Gavin Cronkhite 78 (41-37).

The highest score in the Class AAA field was a 90.
