Big observations on small towns…

In my many years of working in radio, I have been to many small towns and thought I would share these comments:

• If the Police Chief is also in charge of the little league umpires and umpires himself..you might be from a small town.
• If the Fire Chief also owns the local Dairy Queen...you might be from a small town.
• If The School Superintendant is frequently seen working sporting events..you might be from a small town.
• If the Lutheran church Pastor is also the town's only Dentist, you might be from a small town.
• If the City Administrator is also the Cubmaster for the Cub pack..you might be from a small town.
• If most of the people you work with or people you see when you are shopping are in the bowling alley with you on the weekend..you might be from a small town.
• If the doctor is also the town veterinarian two days a week, you might be from a small town. 
• If a special alert bell is installed in the town liquor store for the Fire Department, to hear their alerts, you are definately from a small town.
• And if the Radio dj's deliver your Sunday paper so they can make some extra money you are from a small town.

I could go on but those from a small town need to go on to their next job.
