There is not expected to be any total washouts of any day of the holiday weekend, but a chances of thunderstorms is in the forecast every day this weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a slight risk that some of the storms today could become severe across Minnesota and far western Wisconsin. Large hail and damaging winds are possible with the larger storms.

An active weather pattern is expected to last through the weekend, with several rounds of thunderstorms expected. The threat for heavy rain and severe weather will exist with any thunderstorm activity.

Don't cancel any outdoor plans, but have an alternate plan to be inside if need be and just keep an eye on the sky. KDHL will have live updates, even during Minnesota Twins baseball, if severe weather is experienced in our area.

We hope you have a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend.
