It's the end of January, and Valentine's Day seems like it's still a long way away. But it will be here before you know it, and it will leave tons of people in a last-minute scramble for gifts for their loved ones. Don't be one of those people; plan ahead to bring the special person in your life to the River Bend Nature Center for the Candlelight Valentine's Walk.

The Candlelight Valentine's Walk at the River Bend Nature Center is open to all ages and takes place on Saturday, February 11, from 6:30-8PM. There is early bird pricing until February 4 with rates of $8 for nonmembers and $6 for River Bend Nature Center Members. After that day, the price goes up to $10 for nonmembers, and $8 for members.

Participants should dress for the weather and wear snowshoes or boots and warm outerwear, as this will be an outside event. You'll join a River Bend Nature Center naturalist for a walk that follows a 1-mile route that will be illuminated by candlelight. Following the walk, there will be a marshmallow roast around a fire so you can warm up.

Spouses, significant others, and sweethearts are invited, but this event is not exclusive to those with a better half, the River Bend Nature Center emphasizes that you may share this experience with anyone you care about.
