This is it, the whole summer has been leading to this, the final Faribault Main Street Car Cruise Night on Central Avenue in downtown Faribault. Tonight's event is also the the second annual Car Club Showdown with car clubs from all over the region competing for the honor of being awarded the ridiculously huge, one-of-a-kind, custom made trophy. The massive trophy is really a fully functional grill, complete with grill accessories, a full propane tank, mounted on a red wagon with oversized tires and a diamond-plated interior. This unique trophy was created by Community Co-op's Bill Kubinski.

Last year more than 200 cars showed up for the showdown and we hope to see more tonight. It's also Downtown Retail Night, with many shops remaining open until 8PM. Stop down and check out some of the local businesses as you wander through the streets filled with custom vehicles and hot rods. I'll be rockin' the place with classic oldies and giving away prizes, and if you get hungry, there will be plenty of food and beverages available.

The fun begins at 6PM on Central Avenue in downtown Faribault. I'll see you tonight, at the Faribault Main Street Car Cruise Night and second annual Car Club Showdown. I can't wait!
