I have always had a love for classic cars and trucks. They were the best of the '60s and early '70s. Someday I hope to acquire one. I  would like to find a '62 Chevy Impala, the car my dad had when I was born. The back-up is a '72 Mercury Cougar XR-7. My brother had one and I always liked it.

On Sunday, June 3, The Upper Midwest Region Shelby American Auto Club is having its annual All Ford Show at Apple Valley Ford. You can see many Ford products from the first ones on up. Admission is just $2 for spectators.

The next Faribault Car show will be June 15th, (that's the Friday of Heritage Days) on Central Avenue.

Now my top five classic favorites:

5. 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner. A great muscle car in a plain package. And that "beep beep" horn was cool.

4. 1968-70 Dodge R/T Charger. The General Lee from Dukes of Hazzard, the car that Steve McQueen drove in Bullitt, and the one from the Fast and Furious series. Need I say more?

3. 1969 Chevy Camaro.

2. 1967 Shelby GT 500. I fell in love with this again in the movie Gone in 60 Seconds.

1. 1971 Oldsmobile 442. Four-barrel carburetor and four-speed, dual exhaust. Can you say "more power!"
