It's summer in Minnesota and that means it's time to gather up the kids and hit the pools. They're a great way to cool off, and a family friendly way to spend a summer afternoon. Every Friday morning between 6-9AM, I give away a family four-pack of passes to the Faribault Family Aquatic Center, which is located at the west end of the Rice County Fairgrounds. It's open from noon to 8PM each day, weather permitting, with a variety of fun things to check out like drop, flume and elephant slides; a zero depth pool; interactive toys; water basketball; plenty of shaded areas with deck furniture; a concession stand; changing rooms and more.

In addition to all the water fun, the Faribault Family Aquatic Center also hosts Friday Movie Nights throughout the summer as well as special themed events like a Fourth of July BBQ, a special Mothers Day on Sunday, July 10, with free admission for mom with paid child's admission, Grandparents Day on Sunday, August 10, and more. Need more info, go to the Faribault Family Aquatic Center website or call (507) 334-2064.

This summer stay cool with a day at the pool, and don't forget you could win a family four-pack of passes every Friday morning on the Power 96 Morning Show.
