The Freeborn County Fair has a history of bringing in some big country stars for their grandstand shows. Admission to the fair includes these shows. The fair runs Aug. 4-9.

All grandstand show begin at 8:30PM at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds in Albert Lea. Get there early because the wait in line can be long.

The 2015 country music lineup begins on Tuesday, Aug. 4, with a return performance from Josh Turner. His first hits date back to 2003 and include "Long Black Train," "Your Man" and Time is Love." Turner also has recently become an author with the release of his book, Man Stuff: Thoughts on Faith.

 

 

Frankie Ballard takes the stage on Wednesday, Aug. 5. He has one of the top hits of this summer with "Young and Crazy."

 

 

On Wednesday, Aug. 6, Tyler Farr performs. Farr's first No. 1 song came a couple of years ago with "Redneck Crazy." He is the punchline of the song "Guy Walks into a Bar" this summer.

 

 

John Michael Montgomery has a long list of songs to choose for his set list on Friday, Aug. 7. Big hits in his long career include "Life's a Dance," "I Swear," "The Little Girl" and "Sold."

 

 

The final country music show is Joe Nichols, whose hit "Sunny and 75" might also be the wish of fair officials on the forecast for the week.
