Culturfest returns for its 17th year this Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Wilson School in Owatonna. Hours will be 10:30AM to 4:30PM with free admission. Those who would like to march in the opening parade should gather at the Northwoods Cinema lot by 10AM. Feel free to dress in your native wear and bring along a flag representing your heritage.

Foods to be sampled this year include assorted pizzas, chocolate chip cookies, Mexican, Somali, German, Greek and Scottish foods. There will also be Mexican drinks.

The entertainment includes Karla Nweje and Samimejon Movement, and Leo and Kathy Lara. Leo is a native of Ecuador. The Flemming Fold will play bluegrass, old-time gospel along with Alpine folk music and yodeling. There will be the Country and Highland Dancers performing traditional dances of Scotland along with bagpipes and kilts. There will also be a Scottish Herding Dog demonstration.
