Rice County Sheriff Troy Dunn told KDHL all family has been notified so an identity could be released in the case of a deceased man found in a vehicle yesterday.

He has been identified as 32-year-old Tyler Lee of Lakeville.

Dunn says foul play is not believed to be involved added the public is not at risk. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

The Rice County Sheriff's Office reported they were notified about 4:55PM Thursday of a possible deceased person inside a vehicle parked on the side of the road in rural Rice County.

The vehicle was located near the intersection of Union Lake Trail and Dalton Avenue. That's in Webster Township in the northwestern portion of Rice County.

Dunn said someone in the neighborhood saw the vehicle and it appeared someone was inside so they went down to check it out and then called authorities. Deputies responded and located an adult male deceased in the driver's seat.

Rice County Sheriff's Deputy Mark Hlady said in the initial news release the Rice County Sheriff's Department is continuing their investigation and they were assisted at the scene by the Minnesota State Patrol.
