I sure could have used this truck to get home late Monday afternoon after the snowstorm! This truck is owned by the Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council (MSR&PC.) It was built by the DieselSellerz, stars of the Discovery Channel's "Diesel Brothers." The MSR&PC teamed up with the DieselSellerz's to promote the rollout of B20 (20 percent biodiesel) on May 1, 2018.

"People will go crazy over this truck," said Dave Sparks, aka Heavy D. "Normally we work with ad agencies and now we're working with farmers. For me, that's my favorite part. At the end of the day, the main people driving this project are farmers, and we love that part of it."The DieselSellerz along with the Discovery film crew visited Farmfest last summer and toured a local farm along with a  biodiesel production facility to see how soybeans and biodiesel are produced,

"We went and saw how the soybeans process unfolds and how a seed turns into fuel," Sparks said. "It's new and exciting and something we've never done. Our viewers are going to get a taste of something completely different. It's a project I've wanted to do for a long time but was waiting for the right time. When this partnership rolled across, I said, This is the one."

When I was at the MN Ag Expo I asked Tom Sluneka the Executive Director of the MSR&PC how this partnership to promote Biodiesel with the DieselSellerz's developed. It was a couple farmers on the MSR&PC that came up with the idea. They knew someone, who knew someone else and the truck in the picture is the result! The show featuring the MSR&PC Biodiesel Truck will air on the Discovery Channel this spring.
