I love seeing live music and will almost always jump at the chance to experience a band or artist I enjoy perform. Last night I was lucky enough to attend the Don Henley concert!

The show took place at the Xcel Energy Center and JD & The Straight Shot opened for Don Henley. When Henley came on stage, he said he would be playing "two hours of music spanning over 40 years" and he held true. The set list mixed old and new, solo works and songs from the Eagles collection, and a few stories sprinkled in. On stage, there were no less that 16 people, including a couple trumpets, saxophone, trombone, guitar, drums, keyboard, steel guitar, and three backing vocalists who were each featured in duets. Of the large number of musicians on stage Henley said, "It's not profitable, but it sure is fun." He performed a new arrangement of the Eagles' hit "Witchy Woman" and said that he "should have done it this way the first time."  He dedicated the song "Peaceful Easy Feeling" to the late Glen Frey. After two encores, the night closed with "All She Wants to Do Is Dance."
