Last week I shared with you all that I am a night owl. My version of going to bed early is 11 p.m. This made me wonder about our listening audience, so I created a poll asking if you are a night owl, or an early bird. The results of the poll are in!

I have coworkers that live for early mornings, waking early and enjoying a sunrise before heading off to work. As I mentioned, I am a night person, always have been.

As much as every early riser I have ever known swears that productivity can be had only in the morning, and for as many folk sayings reflect a similar theory ("Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise." -Benjamin Franklin), it seems that the majority of KDHL and Power 96 listeners would disagree! The night owls took a clear lead in the poll with 64 percent of the vote, leaving 36 percent of respondents identifying as early risers.

It would be interesting to know if people responded with what they prefer, or what their life, children or work requires. Do preference and schedule align, or are there a lot of people out there who prefer one, but are required to adjust their inner clocks?
