Elton John will be the latest rock legend to take the Deluxe Edition plunge that's all the rage these days. His landmark 1973 double LP 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' is going to be reissued in a variety of formats with some bonus material.

Rolling Stone reports that a new and expanded version of 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' will be released on March 25, complete with a tribute CD featuring nine contemporary acts -- including Ed Sheeran, Fall Out Boy and the Zac Brown Band -- who'll perform songs that first appeared on John's hit album. The collection will be available on CD, vinyl and limited-edition yellow vinyl.

John will also put out a Deluxe Edition of the record that adds a 100-page hardcover book devoted to the album, as well as a DVD of the 1973 film 'Elton John and Bernie Taupin Say Goodbye to Norma Jean and Other Things.' The hour-long documentary about the making of the record, directed by Bryan Forbes, has long been out-of-print.

Rolling Stone also notes that a big-screen version of John's Las Vegas show, 'The Million Dollar Piano,' will show at movie theaters worldwide on March 18 and March 26. Visit CinemaLive for more information.
