The Cannon Falls Chamber of Commerce invites you to kick off the holidays with the sights, sounds and tastes of the season in Cannon Falls on November 28. Not only is it Deck the Falls day in Cannon Falls, but it is also Small Business Saturday, when shoppers are encouraged to support small local businesses. Along with the Deck the Falls events that are planned for Saturday, November 28, local merchants will have their businesses all decked out for the season and many will offer specials throughout the day. While shopping and visiting local businesses, shoppers can register to qualify for the Holiday drawing that takes place immediately following the Deck the Falls parade. More than $700 in Chamber Dollars will be given away. A complete schedule of the day’s events can be found at www.cannonfalls.org.

Schedule Highlights:

  • 8-10AM: FREE Pancake Breakfast and Open House and Shop Tours hosted by Soulfisher Collision & Repair
  • 8AM to 3PM: CFHS National Honor Society will be ringing the bells to collect donations for The Salvation Army. The Donation Kettle will be in front of the Hi-Quality Bakery in downtown Cannon Fall
  • 8AM to 3PM: Home for the Holidays Expo: More than 40 vendors -- shop for jewelry, beauty products, home décor, craft, gifts and much more. Concessions available. Cannon Falls High School Atrium, 820 E. Minnesota Street

  • 9AM to 1PM: Seventh annual SERRV sale selling beautiful fair trade, unique hand-crafted items from artisans and farmers from more than 30 countries, plus UCC Youth Christmas Cookie Sale, First Congregational Church, 220 W. Main Street
  • 9AM to 2PM: Deck the Falls Crafts & Boutique Sale hosted by the VFW Post #4452 Ladies Auxiliary -- more than 25 craft vendors, bake sale, quilt raffle, concessions, face painting and events for kids -- VFW Club, 218 Fourth St.
  • 10AM to 4PM: Holiday open house at the Cannon Falls Museum
  • 2PM: Holiday story time at the Cannon Falls Library with Santa & Mrs. Claus and Mayor Robinson
  • 2:30PM: Toys for Tots Toy Parade -- bring your toy donations to the Cannon Falls Library and join Santa, Mrs. Claus and Mayor Robinson in a parade to the collection box at the Hi-Quality Bakery in downtown Cannon Falls
  • 2:30-4:30PM: Santa and Mrs. Santa visits Cannon Falls at the Hi-Quality Bakery. Don’t forget the camera!
  • 3-5PM: Complimentary hot cocoa and hot popcorn, Downtown Cannon Falls
  • 5PM: Deck the Falls Parade. At the Gazebo: complimentary hot cider, holiday songs with the Gesme Family Singers, Lighting Community Tree, Holiday Drawing with more than $700 to be given away
