The Third Annual Children Remembered Legacy Trust "Lighting the Path" Fundraiser will be on Saturday, September 12 on the State School Orphanage, 540 West Hills Circle, Owatonna. This walk, at 7PM, is to honor, remember and raise funds for the State School Orphanage Museum.
The luminary walk will include a glimpse into the Root Cellar and concludes at the Children's Cemetery with special music. Cottage 11 tour, at 6PM, is being offered with Harvey Ronglien.
The luminaries are $25 and will be on sale prior to the Luminary Walk or during regular Cottage 11 hours - Tuesday through Sunday 1 to 3PM.
Between 1886 and 1945, over 10,500 kids orphaned, abandoned or abused and sent to Minnesota State Public School for Dependent and Neglected Children in Owatonna. The Minnesota State Public School Orphanage Museum is to remember the Children.
