Extra Security After Threat At Daikin

Faribault Police Captain Neal Pederson said the department received a call about the amount of overtime an employee was working at Daikin Applied and threatened something was going to happen on Friday. According to Pederson and the Faribault Daily News, the threat was directed toward the facility and not the community or neighborhood.

The police department has patrols on the site on 24th Street Northwest,when shift changes happen. He said because the threat was in an area that is frequently checked that established a timeframe.

A similar threat happened back in October and after that metal detectors where installed.

There have not been any additional threats since the one that was found in the bathroom last Friday.
