The Faribault Falcons nipped the defending Big Nine Conference and Section Champion Austin Packers 38-35 in overtime at Nomeland Gym Tuesday night.  Faribault led 15-7 at the half and saw the Packers tie the game at 31 at the end of regulation.  The Falcons then outscored the Packers 7-4 in the extra quarter to pick up their first win of the season.  Austin's outstanding guard Gach Gach led all scorers with 19 points, but only five Packers scored wile seven Falcons were able to collect points.  Junior Winfield Hunter led the way for Faribault with 12 while TJ Hunt had 6 and Kade Hart 5.  The Falcons host Rochester Century on Friday and are now 1-2 in the league and on the season.  The game will be broadcast on POWER 96 Radio, 95.9Fm.  Remember you can always listen by downloading the free Radio Pup app on your favorite mobile device.  In other Big Nine games Northfield rolled past Albert Lea 87-55, Red Wing bested Rochester Century 65-52 and Rochester Mayo downed Owatonna 62-48.  Thursday New Prague is at Austin and Mankato West at Owatonna with 7:30pm tip-offs..
