Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce President Kymn Anderson stops by KDHL for our regularly scheduled montly visit.

Tragedy struck at the chamber on December 23 when Chamber Membership and Special Events Coordinator Barb Larson was murdered by her ex-husband, who then took his own life inside the Chamber building.

Today would have been Barb's 60th birthday and the Chamber is observing it with fun pictures of her on their website.

Kymn says they will "never forget Barb and her impact on the Chamber," and we will talk a bit about that on today's show.

Chamber employees just returned to work yesterday after the office was closed the final week of the year and Barb's funeral was held last week.

By the way, Rice County Attorney John Fossum has agreed to be on AM Minnesota Friday, January 13, to talk about Orders For Protection and Harassment Restraining Orders.

I know we've discussed the topic in the past with former County Attorney Paul Beaumaster, but I don't believe we have yet been educated by our present County Attorney on the topic. The two court documents differ greatly and we want to educate everyone about them.

Barb had the Harassment Order served on her ex-husband earlier in the week of the shooting.

I know Kymn would like everyone to please remember Barb's family members and her Chamber family in their thoughts and prayers during this very difficult journey for all of them.
