Playing an instrument can be a wonderful experience. In addition to learning how to read music and play the actual instrument, you also learn focus and dedication, how to work within a larger group, and you meet new people and create lasting memories.

Often people who once loved playing an instrument set it aside for various reasons. If you’ve been thinking about dusting off your old beloved instrument, you are in luck! The Faribault Community Band is seeking new players from Faribault and surrounding areas to be part of five practices and two concerts. All people who currently play, or have played an instrument in the past are welcome to join, from students in eighth grade to retirees. Practices are on May 15, 22, and 30, and June 5 and 12. Members must attend at least two practices to play in the concert. If you are interested in playing, but no longer own your own instrument, there are some available to use.
