Minnesota Sen. Al Franken's constituent services staff is scheduled to be in Faribault on Thursday to assist residents in need of help with working with a federal agency.

In a news release issued by the senator's office Wednesday, they note the agencies included but not limited to are, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Medicare, Social Security Administration or the Passport Agency.

Staff from Franken's office will meet with area residents at the Faribault Diversity Coalition office, 324 Central Ave. in downtown Faribault.

The event is free and open to the public, and area residents do not need an appointment to meet with staff.

There has been a lot of confusion about what President Donald Trump requested concerning travel of immigrants to the United States.

The senator's staff members will be available from 4-6PM.

Franken's constituent services staff wanted to emphasize the event is open to anyone.
