This Saturday is Family Day at the Faribault Farmer's Market in Central Park.

The hours are 9:00 a.m. until Noon.

It's the third year for the event with the first 200 kids receiving a $2 voucher sponsored by Jennie-O.

There will be samplings, recipes, games for the kids, face painting, animals and prizes.

The Coordinator of the Rice County SHIP program will be joined by Farmer's Market organizers on our show.

With school starting this week it's probably the perfect time for Family Day at the Faribault Farmer's Market.

If you can't join us on the radio go to our YouTube channel and watch the program at www.youtube.com/user/KDHLRadio.

I have not been to the Farmer's Market as often as I like this summer for whatever reason.

I know I was gone a couple weekends in July on a cruise to Alaska which was obviously a factor and I spent a weekend in Willmar for the State Legion Baseball Tournament.

My favorite items to purchase are the farm fresh eggs, juicy tomatoes, various flavored jams and any kind of bread.
