The annual Faribault Heritage Days Celebration was held over the past week with no shortage of exciting events!

The event opened Wednesday with Teen Night at the carnival, and the first clue in the infamous KDHL Medallion Hunt being released. The medallion was found after only two clues had been revealed.

On Thursday, Faribault was seeing stars when Rick and Kelly Dale of American Restoration stopped into town for the dedication of a Tilt-a-Whirl car that they restored. Following that was a Mayor's Reception complete with live music and Grand Marshal, and all-around inspiring lady, Elizabeth (Liz) Strohfus on hand.

On Friday, people had a chance to get to know their neighbors at the annual community lunch at Trinity Lutheran Church. Or car fans could listen to music by Power 96 while checking out the awesome rides lining Central Avenue during the car cruise.

Additionally there were historic tours, citywide garage sales, the Heritage Hustle 5k, a soap box derby and more. The Power 96 and KDHL team had a great time covering all of the events, and we are looking forward to next year's Heritage Days!

The parade is always a huge draw, and this year's beautiful weather ensured a great turn out for the parade.
