The Faribault High School Theatre Troupe is performing Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat this weekend.

I always enjoy visiting with cast members of the various high school plays in addition to community and professional actors because that's where they typically got their start.

Some cast members from the high school play will be on AM Minnesota at 9:30 Monday morning.

Paul Johnson always does a terrific job with the kids and lets them sink their teeth into each project without a tight rein on their creativity. That's not always easy for a director to do.

I was involved in a number of high school and community theater projects in my younger days and someday maybe will have the time to hit the stage again.

It is a time-consuming endeavor. All the rehearsals and line memorization take up a lot of evenings.

I hope you will take in the play and reward these kids for their hours of dedication. This is not an easy production to do.

Performances are April 20, 21, 22 at 7:30PM and Sunday, April 23, at 2PM.

If you can't join us Monday morning, then go to the KDHL YouTube channel and watch the show at a time more convenient for you.
