According the the Faribault High School website, "Green is not a color, it's an attitude!" and each year during the Falcon homecoming celebration, that rings true. I recently came across some vintage footage from the 1964-65 school year homecoming pep fest that I though would be fun to share this homecoming week.

It's been a few years since the last time I attended a high school homecoming, but it seems that regardless of the year, whether 2016 or 1964, certain elements remain fundamental to a successful homecoming pep fest. This video, which unfortunatly does not have audio, shows the band playing, the crowd cheering and getting excited and various people playing silly games and acting out skits. This footage was transferred from 8mm film and is a fun piece of history preserved for years to come.

Make sure to check out Gordy's post including pictures of this year's Faribault High School homecoming king and queen and information about the homecoming parade and get ready to cheer for the Faribault Falcons in the big game! If you can't make it to the field, you can listen live on Power 96 and online at Power96radio.com!
