First United Bank CEO Ken Betsinger will be joining us to discuss the success of the Hospice Ride in Faribault.

The event has raised nearly a quarter of a million dollars. This is the eighth year. Betsinger started the ride with Faribault Harley-Davidson and it has grown each year.

The Ride for Hospice is intended to build awareness and raise money for the Faribault Area Hospice to help support patients and their families.

It includes a 100-mile cycle/auto ride, raffles, silent and live auctions, and lots of terrific food, music and fun.

The event is held rain or shine. They have a big tent we eat under and I can personally attest to the breakfast because I have breakfast there each year. It's scrumptious and you get a lot of food for $5. Breakfast will be served from 8:30-10:30AM.

Registration is 9-11AM. Motorcycles depart from 9:30-11AM and the autos at 10AM.

The music, food and prizes occur between noon and 2PM. Ride for Hospice is at Faribault Harley-Davidson just off I-35.

In 2014, Faribault Area Hospice provided 230 massages and 231 music therapy sessions for patients. Massage and music therapy helps decrease emotional distress, anxiety, physical discomfort, pain and nausea.

More details about the ride are online at HospiceRide.com.

Tune in at 9:30AM and be informed about what's happening in Faribault.
