A 21-year-old Faribault man sustained non-life threatening injuries in a collision on Minnesota State Highway 21 Thursday night.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports that Mohamed Abdullahi Osman was attempting to cross Highway 21 just after 7 p.m. while southbound on Park Avenue in Faribault when his 2013 Ford Fusion collided with a 1996 Chevy GM4 traveling northbound on the highway.

Osman was transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital–Saint Marys for his injuries. The 24-year-old driver of the Chevrolet GM4, Dalton Lee Heyer, also of Faribault, was uninjured.

The report stated that road conditions at the time had both snow and ice indicated.

Along with the State Patrol, the Faribault Police Department and North Memorial joined first responders on the scene.
