Faribault Marketing Director Nort Johnson stops by for our monthly visit the KDHL AM Minnesota program at 9:30AM today.

We have a lot to discuss.

Since we last visited, Johnson went before the City Council and gave a tourism report that included some increases in lodging tax money collected in Faribault. The state average for the 2014 travel season was a 6 percent increase and Faribault saw a 6.14 percent increase. The 2015 year saw a 15 percent increase in Faribault and the state forecast average was 5.6 percent.

Does Faribault need more hotel rooms? I'll ask Nort that question, and he will be talking about the downtown contest that kicks off today. I don't want to steal his thunder.

Remember if you can't tune in at 9:30AM, you can watch the program on our YouTube channel.

There has been some new business information revealed since Johnson last visited with us that we will also discuss.
