Faribault Public Schools Superintendent Todd Sesker will be the guest today on our KDHL AM Minnesota program at 9:30 a.m.  Last week the Faribault School Board heard details about a 48 page "Expectations Policy."  It was noted during the meeting that all of the people involved in educating youth need to be involved in making school a positive place to be each day.

Sesker emphasized at the meeting that means K-12 students, school staff, parents and school board members need to be, "All-In."  The document delivered last Monday will be voted on by the School Board at their August 27th meeting.  Sesker told the board the policy would not be included in each school handbook but board members seemed to indicate there should be some reference to it in those handbooks.

Board Vice Chair Jason Engbrecht said, "At minimum" there should be a one page summary of the policy and a reference to it's location on the district's website.

The board also approved hiring a full time hallway supervisor/lunch room supervisor for the Faribault Middle School at a cost of $16,650 a year.  The cost would be paid for in part by a state awarded ADSIS Grant beginning with the 2019-2020 school year and potentially covered by food service funding.

The funds for the position in the upcoming school year would come from the general fund.
