The Faribault Public School Board meets Tuesday evening at the middle school and will recognize Superintendent Todd Sesker for receiving an award. The Minnesota Association of School Administrators has named Sesker an Administrator of Excellence.

According to the MASA, Sesker will be honored for his leadership, concern for students and active involvement in professional and community affairs at a statewide recognition ceremony at the MASA/MASE Spring Conference. The event will be March 12-13 at the Minneapolis Marriott Northwest in Brooklyn Park.

In the news release announcing the honor, it was stated that under Sesker's leadership the Faribault Public School District has implemented a number of new programs and initiatives. The School Board meeting will be at 5:30 Tuesday evening.

Also on the agenda, the School Board will receive a new enrollment report that shows steady figures. February enrollment shows eight fewer students at the high school and six fewer districtwide. However, the monthly count from the business office shows steady decline at the high school level and a loss of eight students throughout the district. In September there were 1,221 students at the high school and February figures show 1,159. The Alternative Learning Center gained seven students in February. Sesker is scheduled to be a guest the KDHL AM Minnesota program Wednesday.
