The Faribault Falcon 200 Medley Relay team of seniors Megan Gehrke and Bre Bresnahan, junior Gesa Wilden and freshman Verity Wray-Raabolle set a new Faribault High School pool record Tuesday night.

The time was 1:51.42.  Each swimmer goes 50 yards with a different stroke, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly and freestyle.

They were more excited than a bunch of ants in a candy store when they came out of the pool and into the hallway for pictures from proud parents.

They literally came right out of the pool for the pictures and I snapped a quick picture too.

Wilden is a foreign exchange student from Germany.

Faribault Head Coach Ken Hubert told KDHL following their 96-90 win over Shakopee he was confident the relay would have the school record before the end of the season.

I'm hoping to stop by the Faribault High School pool after practice Wednesday and visit with the Medley Relay about their pool record.

We'll tape the segment for the Faribault Coaches Show on Saturday at Faribault Interiors between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
