Faribault Area Senior Center Executive Director Mona Kaiser stops by the KDHL studio to inform us about everything happening at the facility.

In April a fundraising consulting firm presented a report to the Senior Center board about the possibility of raising about $2.5 million to expand the building.

Crescendo Consulting LLP conducted a community assessment that included interviewing 34 leaders in the civic, agricultural and business community.

The current space is 5,250 square feet and includes three offices, a small activity room, a commercial kitchen, dining room and several small storage closets. The expansion is proposed to be 11,000 square feet. Under an agreement with the City of Faribault, the city will assume the costs of all utilities and janitorial services in exchange for space usage in the new addition at no cost.

The conclusion of the consulting firm will be discussed at 9:30AM. Be sure to tune in!
