Tate Olson was the only Falcon to qualify to participate in the Boys State Track and Field Meet at Hamline University in St. Paul over the weekend. He vaulted 13 feet, 3 inches.

The winning vault was a new all-time Minnesota record of 15 feet, 8 inches launched by Eden Prairie senior Benjamin Ose. Junior Kyle Meyer of Lakeville North was fourth and senior Ty Kolb  of Mankato West placed sixth to earn all-state honors.

Wayzata is the state AA team champion with 71.50 points, outdistancing Eden Prairie with 68. Farmington was eighth and Apple Valley 11th.

Rochester Century senior Darryl Martin placed ninth in the 200-meter dash. Farmington senior Justin Hyytinen was third in the 800-meter run and Rosemount senior Samuel Ivanecky seventh for all-state status.

In the 300-meter hurdles, Lakeville South senior Grant Mosser was seventh and Lakeville North sophomore Evan El-Halawani turned in the eighth-best time for all-state honors.

Apple Valley junior Isaiah Hall was fourth and Eastview senior Nicholas Spann sixth in the long jump. Junior Kieran McKeag of Apple Valley picked up a championship in the shot put with a toss of 59 feet, 8.50 inches. Mankato East junior Logan Swanson was seventh, Red Wing senior Nicholas Connelly eighth in the event. In the discus, McKeag was fifth and junior Grahm Johnson of Red Wing placed eighth.

Senior Logan Bristol of Mankato West captured the high jump championship while clearing 6 feet, 8 inches. The all-time record was set in 1973 by Rod Raver of Rochester John Marshall when he went over 7 feet, 1 inch.

Mankato East sophomore Roderick Miller placed eighth and is all-state for his efforts in the 400-meter dash. Senior Leron North of Eastview is the champion. Farmington senior Justin Hyytinen captured second place in the 1,600-meter run. The winner, senior Joe Klecker of Hopkins, set a new Minnesota record of 4:06.54, just under two second faster than the old mark.

Owatonna junior Jacob Johnson placed fourth in the 110-meter hurdles. The 4x800 relay team from Rosemount was seventh and Farmington's 4x400 relay finished third. Senior Nehemiah Rockett got them started and was followed by juniors Hunter Siegler and Caleb Bray and senior Ryan Parco.
