Faribault senior Felipe Ramirez ended a stellar high school career with a 6th place finish in the Discus Throw and All-State designation.

Ramirez threw the Discus a career best 164 feet 9 inches and actually had a 170 foot throw during his warmup.

Ramirez was also an All-State wrestler and All Big Nine football player.

North St. Paul senior Jake Kubiatowicz set a new Minnesota All-Time record with a toss of 194 feet 6 inches.

Felipe was by far the smallest young man competing in the Discus Throw.

He did not place in the Shot Put while competing at the State Meet.

Here are the remaining Boys Class 2A State Track results for athletes in the area.

Shot Put

Lakeville South senior Eric Rousemiller won with a toss of 60 feet 10 and 3/4 inches.

Rosemount senior Trevor Otterdahl was 7th and Eagan senior Noah Hillesheim was 9th.

100 Meter Dash

Junior Jeremiah Jacobson of Lakeville South placed 5th and Mankato West senior Jake Makela was 7th.

Eden Prairie senior Denzel Brown was the champion with a time of 10.50.  The state record is 10.49.

200 Meter Dash

Jacobson finished third and Brown won this event also with a time of 20.97.  The state record is 20.92.

800 Meter Dash

Lakeville South junior Cooper Jackson was 7th.  Senior Ryan Steger of Eagan finished second.

1600 Meter Run

Rochester Century senior Antonio Judson-Red Elk was 4th and Waseca senior Cole Streich finished 7th.

3200 Meter Run

Century senior Judson-Red Elk was 4th.   Owatonna senior Braydon Kubat did not place.

Rosemount sophomore Luke Labatte finished 6th and Streich was 11th.

110 Hurdles

Lakeville North senior Eyan El-Halawani was third and Rosemount freshman Jonathan Mann took the podium with a 9th place finish.

300 Hurdles

El-Halawani was third in this event also.

4x100 Meter Relay

Mankato West wins with the team of Monathan Sikel (9), Melik Davis (10), C.J. Terry (12) and Jake Makela (12).

4x200 Meter Relay

Mankato East placed 3rd with Desmond Bassett (12), Jacob Baynes (12), Isaiah Baynes (12) and Roderick Miller (12).

Lakeville North placed 7th- Adam Vote (12), Logan Gudmundson (11), Josiah Udo (12) and Jeremiah Jacobson (11).

4x400 Meter Relay

Mankato East was second with team of Desmond Bassett (12), Jacob Baynes (12), Roderick Miller (12) and Isaiah Baynes (12)

4X800 Meter Relay

Eastview of Apple Valley was 4th and Lakeville South placed 9th with the team of Joshua Willard (12), Jack Otterson (10), Adam Unke (12) and Cooper Jackson (11).

Farmington was 13th.

High Jump

Kasson-Mantorville senior Tyler Wanous competed but did not place.

Long Jump

Senior Alexander Hunter of Lakeville North finished 13th.

Mankato West frreshman Jonathan Sikel was 9th.

Pole Vault

Lakeville South senior Noah Shafer is the champion clearing 14 feet 6 inches.  The Minnesota record is 15 feet 8 inches.

Rochester Century senior Tristan Trejo finished All-State with an 8th place finish.

Triple Jump

Owatonna junior Dalton Kubista was 9th and took the podium while earning a point for his team.

Senior Alexander Hunter of Lakeville North was 12th.

In the team standings East Ridge was first with 51 points and Lakeville South finished second with 44 points.  Mankato East was 16th, Lakeville North, Rosemount and Mankato West all tied for 18th and Rochester Century was 23rd.
