The 2018 Old Farmer's Almanac is hitting the stands and they are saying cold, wet, dry and wild for this winter. Is that an interesting prediction or what?

On their winter outlook pages they indicate the extreme cold will be in the northeastern part of the U.S. And the Great Lakes area and parts of the northeast should see above-normal snow amounts. The southeast is going to be colder than normal and wetter than normal. And for areas in the southern plains - Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, and Oklahoma - people living in the area should expect wild swings in the weather over the winter, from very warm to cold, or from clear to stormy.

The Farmer's Almanac claims an 80 percent accuracy record. And they are celebrating their 200th anniversary this year.
